Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - Pyloon's Saloon Interior

Screenshots by Evan Cwiertny and Matthew Cooke.

Worked on Pyloon's Saloon for about a year of Pre-Production, with Evan Cwiertny .

Excellent Concepts by George Rushing and fantastic lighting by Matthew Cooke.

We had a great time coming up with layouts, testing them and iterating together. Diving into Star Wars history, finding as many drinking establishments as possible to riff off. One thing we were sure of was we didnt want it to be another sandy/dusty cantina, which is how it ended up being a wooden structure. Very glad we did that!
Also had a good time brainstorming with Narrative about the different states the cantina could be in at different story points, along with finding good spots for interactions.
For the Interior, I worked on the entryway, main room, bar area, the stage, bathroom, kitchen, stairs and the upstairs area around the fish tank.
My responsibilities varied from modeling modular elements, making tileables, building props, set dressing/world building.
Most of the Interior was around Alpha quality when I left. After that, Evan took great care of the building, taking the whole thing through to ship, with massive amount of polish and props work. Additional props help from: Shane Estanislao, Ajilan Potter, Chelsea Velazquez, Brian West, Tim Wallace, Kevin Duong, Aaron Fowler, Kahlil Reedy, Scott Russell.
